Cooking is more than just a hobby for me. It’s a means to connect, bond, and create wonderful memories. I’ve collected some amazing recipes from my family, friends, and travels, and cooking them brings back all those wonderful moments. Connection is all about sharing stories and experiences. It’s about gathering around a delicious meal or a fun event and simply enjoying each other’s company. And sometimes, it’s as simple as savoring the warmth of a homemade dish. However you define connection, I’m here to show you how I’ve woven it into my life through the love of food. I hope my stories, traditions, and fun events inspire you to embrace the joy of cooking. Let’s get cooking.
Soup Club
I initiated the idea of soup club by sending a text to a bunch of friends to see if anyone was interested in the concept. Eventually, we settled on four friends who were really excited about the idea of getting together and sharing our soups. Even though these friends have busy lives, they still manage to find time to make soup and time for the club. We decided to meet once a month and we use an Evite or text to coordinate which soups we’ll be making. Each person brings their soup divided into three separate containers for members to take home. The host makes a bigger batch so we can all sit down and enjoy each other’s company over a delicious cup of soup. By the end of the night, we each have four delicious soups to enjoy throughout the week. It’s a win-win for me because I get to hang out with friends, have a great time, and have lunches planned for the whole week. So let’s get cooking and I’ll share my favorite, and super easy, tomato soup recipe for you all to enjoy.
