Easy Oven Bacon

Easy Oven Bacon

I provide two ways to make bacon. Why you ask? Because I love bacon and I am always looking for an easy, mess free way to prepare it for my salads, as a side, or in sandwiches. This recipe uses an oven to make the bacon and it turns out perfect. My other recipe uses an airfryer. Either way, you can’t go wrong. Give it a try and let’s get cooking!

Easy Oven Bacon

Bacon is the best. I love it crumbled on a salad, as a breakfast side or in a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich. I just can't get enough of it. I have 2 recipes for making the perfect bacon. I have a recipe that uses an airfryer or this recipe that uses an oven. Both are mess free and super easy. Give it a try!

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400℉. While the oven is heating, line a 9×13 glass baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.

  • Take out the bacon from it's packaging. I like to cut the bacon slices in half, but you can leave them full size, too. Lay the bacon onto the parchment paper of your glass pan, ensuring the pieces are lying flat and not overlapping.

  • Place the bacon on the center rack of your preheated oven and cook for 12 minutes at 400℉ for perfect, crispy bacon. For extra crispy bacon, increase the cook time by 2 minute increments until the bacon is to your desired crispiness. I bake my bacon for 14 minutes and find that is perfect for me (see picture).

  • Remove the finished bacon from oven and use your tongs to place the bacon onto a plate lined with paper towels, to absorb the extra grease. See notes below. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

bird iconTip: Be careful when handling the bacon grease. It is very hot and can be extremely messy. For starters, make sure to let the bacon grease completely cool before disposing of the extra grease. Since you lined your pan with parchment paper, it should prevent it from running all over the pan. DO NOT pour the grease down your sink. Instead, once cooled, pour the extra grease into a glass jar or can for disposal. I find that I can let the grease cool and then just toss the parchment paper with the cooled grease directly into the trash. This makes clean up super easy!
