Let’s Connect and Have The Conversation

Let’s Connect and Have The Conversation

It all began with an idea. To be honest, it’s fairly straightforward. I was listening to a podcast that my sister had recommended, and it completely ignited my passion and curiosity. After I finished the podcast, I was eager to discuss the content, go over the main takeaways, and dive deeper into the topics. I felt a strong desire to learn more and I desperately wanted to engage in a more meaningful dialogue with others.

As Dr. Wayne Dyer so beautifully shared “If you change the way you look at things; the things you look at change.” This quote resonates with me and inspired me to expand my connection framework and encourage healthy conversations and constructive dialogue on topics of interest.

I encourage you to build a community where you can connect and have the conversations. To begin, it’s important to set up ground rules. They may look something like this: Let’s talk (T); Let’s be open (O); Let’s be curious (C). In a nutshell, let’s TOC and ensure your participants listen to others’ view points in a respectful manner.

“If you can let go of passion, and follow your curiosity, your curiosity might just lead you to your passion.” -Elizabeth Gilbert

Let’s get into it…

  1. Choose a podcast that resonates with you. I have provided one of my favorite conversations and podcast interviews below. Feel free to chose any podcast and topic of interest.
  2. Share the podcast with a group of friends via email or text.
  3. Come together in person or virtually to discuss the podcast after everyone has had a chance to view it.
  4. Set up ground rules for a smooth and healthy discussion. You can use TOC (Let’s talk; Let’s be open; Let’s be curious) or whatever feels appropriate to you and your group.
  5. Enjoy the stimulating conversation and hopefully it ignites your passion, curiosity, and joy for connecting with others.
  6. Have fun!
