This is an easy recipe for simple syrup. Have some fun with this recipe by adding your favorite fruits, peppers, or any other ingredient you like to infuse the syrup. A lot of cocktails, including my French 75, call for simple syrup. It's super easy to whip up, and the best part is you can infuse it with your favorite fruits or even peppers to add a unique twist. Give it a shot!

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions
 

  • Pour 1 cup of water in a small saucepan and heat on medium on your stovetop.

  • Heat the water until it is hot, but not boiling.
  • Once the water is hot, add in 1 cup of sugar and stir until blended.

  • Remove the sugar water from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  • Store in an airtight container with a lid and enjoy!
