Steamed Artichokes

Steamed Artichokes

Artichokes are one of my favorite green vegetables. They are so easy to make when you steam them. They offer so many benefits that it’s worth giving artichokes a try or put them back on your dinner plate. You can simply squeeze a little lemon on top and drizzle with olive oil. Alternatively, consider dipping the leaves in a side of melted garlic butter or mayonnaise. With a variety of options available, exploring different ways to savor artichokes is a must. Let’s get cooking!

Instructions

  • Cover the pot.
  • Steam for 25-45 minutes depending on the size and number of artichokes. Artichokes are ready when leaves pull off the stem easily.
  • When done, remove from the heat. Let the artichokes stand for 5 or more minutes or until the leaves have cooled enought to eat. Serve with hot garlic butter, mayonnaise or preferred condiment. Enjoy!
